Museum of History

Each quarter you should contribute an artifact to display in our classroom 'Museum". It can be an authentic artifact, picture of an artifact, or facsimile of an artifact. This may be an object or a document. The item will be on display as long as we have room for it, or as long as the 'owner' allows for it to be on loan.

Display the item or document so that can be appreciated without touching it. For example, put it on poster board, a 'tent' card, shadow box, or stand.

Provide information about the artifact - as many interesting and useful facts as can be printed/typed on a 3"x5" card, or your display. Identify yourself as the contributor or reporter. Research your artifact and include information from at least two references. Provide the bibliographic information for your references on the back of the card or display. Samples of how to write the reference source are given in the student handbook section of your agenda.

Be sure the display is neat and makes the item easy to see and understand.
