Learning Strategies 7, 8, & 9

 
  Learning Strategies is an elective class designed to provide homework and instructional support.This is a small class, usually eight or fewer students, where study skills instruction and structured study time are provided. Attention is given to required classes and skills tested during the junior high years, such as reading, writing, math and problem-solving.   Supplies needed every day: pen, pencil, paper, agenda, homework, and texts.  
We work to improve:
  • organizational skills
  • social skills
  • math
  • reading
  • writing
  • vocabulary and conventions
  • connections with all subjects
  • assignment completion in all subjects
  • goal setting
  Only students who have been recommended by teachers and parents may enroll.    
  Be prepared to work.    
  Be prepared to succeed.
