English 7 will center around reading, writing, and speaking. This is an environment in which your children will develop and fine-tune their craft of writing, as well as enrich their love of and insight into literature. Like any skill (running, tennis, playing the flute, pitching), reading and writing improves with practice. Students will write as well as read Persuasive, Expository, Narrative, and Technical pieces. In addition, they will be required to read two hours each week outside of the classroom on a regular basis. |
